Philosophy
Acting at its best is an inspired and rewarding art. Becoming other characters allows us to explore a greater range of our humanity. It takes courage, imagination and craft. A good coach honors the art form and each actor she works with. She contributes talent, skill, humor and support to each session.
Why Coach?
Most actors benefit greatly from having a coach
because it's hard to SEE your work when you are IN
your work. The coach's job is to be your objective
eyes: to assist you in making specific, vibrant
choices that are honest, true to the character's
point of view and shaped into a dynamic journey that
reveal the text.
It is also important to be vocally true
to the character. As a voice
and dialect coach, I can also be your objective
ears, helping you change an accent, catch a comic
rhythm or use classical language techniques as required.
What I Have to Offer
I have over 25 years experience as an acting coach
and voice teacher with a successful track record.
As a professional actress, trained in a number of
acting methods, I can speak to different levels
of experience in whatever acting language you speak.
I have expertise as a voice and
dialect coach. Many actors come to me because
they can also get professional vocal coaching while
they are getting their acting coaching. The combined
service saves valuable time and leads to a more
organic and integrated performance.
